Introduction:
The Arsenal Soccer Club or just the Arsenal is a professional English soccer club located in Holloway, north London. Arsenal soccer club is one of the most victorious clubs in the English soccer that plays in the Premier League. By far thirteen Premier Leagues and First Division titles have been acquired by the Arsenal soccer club, in addition with ten FA Cups also. Arsenal Soccer club became the first ever London club to arrive at the UEFA Champions League finals, in the year 2005-06. The Arsenal soccer club is also an associate of the G-14 group of the foremost European soccer clubs.
History:
At Woolwich, south-east of London the Arsenal soccer club was first established in 1886. Later on in 1913, the club shifted its base to the north across the Arsenal Stadium, Highbury. In 1893, the Arsenal soccer club united with the Soccer League, and began with the Second Division and won endorsement for the First Division in 1904. The club’s geographic alteration resulted in a fall down of the attendees as compared with other clubs. These alterations caught the club in a severe economy failure, which resulted in an ultimate bankruptcy in 1910. In the countdown for the top most soccer league, Arsenal soccer club ended in the fifth position in 1919, after which the club is yet to be nominated to rejoin the First Division. Recently in May 2006, the club left its base of Highbury and moved on to the Emirates Stadium close to Ashburton Grove, Holloway which is their current home. |
