SOCCER MISCONDUCT
Introduction:
Misconducts in the game of soccer often happen every now and then. These include the altercation between the players. In case a player commits an offence as per the game laws, it is said that a foul has occurred. Law 12 states the offence which constitutes the game of soccer. In case the ball is deliberately handled, the opponent is pushed or tripped, penal fouls are imposed. The punishment in such cases is the penalty kick and the direct free kick. It is mostly based on the occurrence of the offence. The other fouls which are implemented are punished using the indirect free kick.
Miscellaneous:
When a soccer player commits an offence within the boundaries of the penalty box, the penalty kick is scored by the player. This may result in a punishment for the player or the misconduct of the substitute, with the help of a red card or a yellow card. In case the game involves the second yellow card, a red card is given. This may also result in a send-off. The misconduct may result during any time period. In most of the events which violate the game spirit, the offence of unsporting behavior is used for dealing in case of such events. In some cases, the support staff and the managers also stand to be suspended from the surrounds and the field by the referee, in case they fail to conduct in a responsible way. Instead of halting the play, the referee may grant permission for the play to continue in case it would benefit the rival team. |
